- My wifi still detects many connections with WEP. It is an outdated method and can be easily hacked using backtrack penetration tools.
- WPA/WPA2 is very difficult to crack. Hacking WPA/WPA2 is based on dictionary attack method. Hackers will have no luck if you have a strong password.
- Choose a strong password. 12345678 wont do.
- Mix up capital and strong letters. It makes dictionary attack even more worthless.
- Mix up special characters in between.
- A long password is more difficult to crack.
- Avoid words that can be found in a dictionary.
- DHCP client list on your router interface should tell you that. Just type in your common gateway address in your browser bar, login to your router and find out.
